How to Manually Import Banking Transactions in Docyt via a CSV File of Transactions?
Understanding the Purpose of CSV Uploads
Docyt connects with over 12,000 financial institutions to provide real-time bank feeds. However, in cases where a financial institution is not supported, Docyt offers a convenient solution through CSV uploads. You can easily import transactions into Docyt using a file downloaded from your bank. Initially, you'll go through a one-time process to map the data from the CSV file to the Docyt format. Once this setup is complete, importing CSV files from a financial institution becomes quick and straightforward. This feature ensures you can maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, even when direct bank feeds are unavailable.
Guide to Uploading CSV Files
- To access Docyt, start by logging in and then go to the 'Accounting' View.
- Choose the business associated with your Docyt account.
- Navigate to the main menu and locate the 'Banking & Reconciliation' option. From there, hover over 'Banking Accounts' and choose 'CSV Import' to proceed.
- Choose the account from the list where you want to upload the CSV file.
- To upload the CSV file, click on 'Upload CSV' and then choose the file from your computer. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the file into the window that appears.
- After successfully uploading the file, you will be directed to a page where you can map the CSV columns. Fill out the fields on the right side and click the 'Save' button to proceed.
