Create a Forecast in the Business in Docyt

A. How to Access the Forecast
1. Log in to Docyt. Select 'Business Reports' and click 'Budget and Forecast'.
2. On the 'Budget and Forecast' page, you will find the forecasts explicitly created for your business.
B. Adding a Forecast
- Click the blue + button on the 'Budget and Forecast' page to add a forecast.
- Provide a name for your forecast and select the financial year for which you are creating the forecast. Select 'Forecast' from 'Report Type' and click 'Continue'.
- When setting up a 'Forecast', input the financial amounts for each chart of accounts and for every month. Don't forget to click the 'Save' button once you have entered the values to secure your changes.
- You will see a confirmation message indicating that your changes have been saved.
C. Modifying a Forecast
- To edit a forecast, click the three dots next to the forecast you wish to modify. Select 'Edit' from the menu to access the editing options.
- Modify the name or time frame of the Forecast as applicable. Click 'Continue'.
- Modify the monetary value for the chart of accounts and each month as needed. Click the 'Save' button when you are done.
- You will see a confirmation message indicating that your changes have been saved.
D. Deleting a Forecast
1. To delete a forecast, click the ellipsis icon in front of the forecast row. From the options that appear, select 'Delete'.
2. In the pop-up box, type 'DELETE' and click the 'Delete' button. By doing this, you will successfully remove the forecast from your records.
